PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) is a new European regulation that will fundamentally change the way payments work across Europe, with big implications for merchants and your customers. It aims to boost competition in payments, increase security and lower fraud. It means some big changes for everyone who operates in Europe, which is why it really pays to be aware of what it means for you.

eCom iQ rebranding updates

The January 2019 eCom iQ release includes rebranding updates to reflect the 2018 acquisition of Worldpay. These rebranding updates will not impact any functionality that you currently use on the eCom iQ platform.

Mastercard Canada interchange updates

Effective January 1, 2019, Mastercard will revise several interchange programs.
Proof of Authorization Request Notification for new eCheck SSR
On Monday, December 10, 2018 merchants who utilize eCheck must subscribe to a new Secure Scheduled Report (SSR) called ‘eCheck PoA Request Notification Report’ from the ‘Manage Scheduled Reports’ section within the eCommerce iQ reporting portal.
Update: Visa Refund Authorizations
With the upcoming card brand mandates for Refund Authorizations, Worldpay is updating our system to send this new authorization on behalf of our merchants.

This arrangement will allow merchants all the benefits of compliance, without the need to make changes to the way refunds are currently sent.

These Refund Authorizations will appear within iQ portal as a separate category but will be assessed the same authorization fee that is charged on a sale.
