Reminder and Changes: Contactless Terminal Requirements

 

To increase the acceptance of contactless transactions and support more secure transactions, the card brands have published contactless terminal requirements. Contactless terminals must support EMV grade contactless technology as outlined by region and effective date.

 
 
 
 

Update: Visa Merchant Chargeback and Fraud Monitoring program

 

Effective October 1, Visa will reduce fraud and dispute thresholds for the Visa Fraud Monitoring Program, the Visa Chargeback Monitoring Program and the Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program. 

 
 
 
 

Visa Security Alert: FIN6 Cybercrime group expands threat to eCom Merchants

 

FIN6 is a financially motivated threat actor group in operation since 2015. Based on Visa Payment Fraud Disruption's (PFD) analysis of eCommerce compromises throughout 2018, FIN6's focus on the card-not-present (CNP) environment has only amplified, suggesting that the cybercrime group has fully incorporated targeting CNP environments into their criminal methodology.
