Credit card terminal support: updating date and time

If you need to update your credit card terminal due to daylight savings time changes or other needs, simply find the model of your credit card reader and related instructions below.

Ingenico iCT/iWL (Telium)

  1. From the idle prompt or screen saver, press the F key
    • If prompted, key in the Admin Name then press Enter
    • If prompted, key in the Admin Password then press Enter
  2. Select TELIUM MANAGER
  3. Select Initialization
  4. Select Parameters
  5. Select Date and Time
  6. Select Parameters
  7. Select from the following options as needed
    • Set Date: Key in the date in the format displayed then press Enter to return to the Date and Time menu
    • Set Time: Key in the time in 24 hour (military) format then press Enter to return to the Date and Time menu
  8. Once all necessary changes have been made, press Cancel until you return to the idle prompt

Ingenico Desk/Move (Tetra)

  1. From the idle prompt or screen saver, press the Home key
  2. Press the Green Enter key to select Admin Mode
  3. Using the arrow down key, highlight Tetra Admin, and press the green enter key.
  4. Using the Arrow down key, highlight "Set Date and Time" and press the green enter key.
  5. "Set Date" should be the first option and already highlighted- Press Enter
  6. Type in the date using 2 digit month, 2 digit day, and 4 digit year and then press the green enter key
  7. After the date is entered, you're returned to the Date and Time menu - use the arrow down key and highlight Set Time & press Enter
  8. After Set Time is selected, type in the correct time, using military time format (2:30pm = 143000) then press the green enter key
  9. After the time is entered, you return to the Admin Menu/Set Date/Set Time. From here, press the red cancel key 1x to return to the main transaction menu, this takes you to the main Admin Menu
  10. Once back at the Admin Menu, arrow down to highlight User Mode, and press the green enter key. This exits Admin Mode, and the terminal is ready to run transactions again, without the risk of someone making unwanted changes
  11. Once User Mode is selected, it'll time out to the screen below. Press the Red Cancel Key to return to the Main screen.

Verifone Vx 520, Vx680

  1. Press [Enter]
  2. Press F2 for Setup
  3. If prompted, key in the password 1 Alpha Alpha 6 6 8 3 1 then press the green [Enter] key; otherwise, continue to step 4.
  4. Press [Scroll Down] (Far Left Purple Button under the Down Arrow on the screen) four times.
  5. Press F1 for Date/Time
  6. Key in the correct date in MM/DD/YYYY format then press the green [Enter] key.
  7. Key in the correct time in HH:MM:SS format (in Military Time, use 00 for seconds) then press the green [Enter] key.
  8. Press #'s for 2 digit hour, 2 digit minute , and 2 digit seconds (use military time format - 2:30pm = 143000)
  9. Press Enter
  10. Press the red [Cancel] key until you return to the main screen.

PAX S80, S920
To update the Date/Time: The starting screen (see below) reflects the main screen with the option to select Credit or Sale

  1. Press Menu
  2. Select 5 for System Settings
  3. Select 1 for Date/Time Setup
  4. Type in the date using 2 digit month, 2 digit day, and 4 digit year and then press the green enter key
  5. Type in the correct time, using military time format (2:30pm = 143000) then press the green enter key
  6. Once you do this, confirm the date/time are correct, and you can press the red cancel key until you get back to your main screen

PAX Android (A80, A920)

  1. Go to home screen (touch circle icon at bottom of screen) then select Settings icon.
  2. Scroll down to System section.
  3. Select Date & Time
  4. Confirm Automatic date & time and Automatic time zone are enabled (radio bottom is green).
  5. Press Home Key (circle in menu bar at the bottom of screen). Access BroadPOS application.
